To provide superior protection and service in a manner that builds public confidence and improves the quality of life in our community

A message from Chief Basgall: The Clovis Police Department is dedicated to serving the citizens of Clovis. We pledge a commitment to fight crime through all creative means feasible and plausible to provide a safe and community oriented city. Our goal is to be the safest city in the valley. The Clovis Police Department is fortunate to serve a community of 100,000 people. The saying, “Clovis is a... way of Life” isn’t just a motto but a culture and a belief. The success of the Clovis Police Department comes directly from the citizens, professional staff and dedicated officers who strive to maintain the “Clovis Way of Life”. We are proud to have been ranked as the safest city in the valley as well as ranked in the top ten percent nationally. This is a true testament to all the employees and volunteers who work diligently to provide a safe community for us all. I would like to thank the citizens of Clovis for the ongoing support of the Clovis Police Department. Together we can continue to make Clovis a great place to live. It will always be the mission of this department to provide superior protection and service in a manner that builds public confidence and improves the quality of life in our community. Matthew Basgall Chief of Police “To those we serve we want to be the best.” See More
