The Missing Autistic Alert system was recently developed similar to the Amber alert system, but for missing persons with special needs (ie. autistic persons). The alerts go out via text messaging (via signup on our website), through Facebook (via fans of our Facebook page) and through Twitter (through fans or our Twitter page). We are a non-profit organization and do not ask for donations of any k...ind, nor do we ask for memberships, etc. We are fully self supporting at this time. TEXT MESSAGING - a text message goes out via short messaging system to persons who have signed up on our website. Our system will automatically find the area code for the town in which the person is missing and send to all persons in that area code. FACEBOOK - a message will be posted to the wall of all fans of our Facebook page that live in the area of the missing person (as determined by location). TWITTER - a message will be tweeted of all fans of our twitter page that live in the area of the missing person (as determined by location). BANNERS - we provide free banners to anyone wishing to place them on their website or webpage. These banners are a small piece of JavaScript that will show missing persons in the area of the end user as determined by geolocation. RSS Feed - One of the keys to finding missing persons, especially those with special needs, is to quickly get the information of the missing person out to as many people as possible as quickly as possible with a centralized database and news feed accessible by other organizations or individuals that serve our same purpose.
