We are an all volunteer group of highly trained and motivated men and women who provide Fire and Emergency Medical Services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department consists of two fire companies: The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company INC. & Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department, Candlewood Company INC. Both companies are comprised of highly trained volunteers, which work jointly to provide professional emergency services to the Town of Brookfield, and to those who request our assistance.

Brookfield is a town located in northern Fairfield County, with a population of roughly 16,452 and a total area of 19.8 square miles. The town of Brookfield Emergency services are dispatched through the Police Department. All emergency calls are handled through their communication center. Brookfield's fire department is 100% VOLUNTEER!! The dispatch center is staffed 24/7 365 by trained professionals that are responsible for getting the appropriate emergency personnel en route to help you, on top of managing police calls, 911, routine phone calls, dispatches from alarm companies, Department of Public Works, and a variety of other tasks.
