Amateur Radio enthusiasts started this station broadcasting ham radio news and moldy oldie music from the 50's - 60's - 70's that you haven't heard in years! Licensed by the FCC, KQRZ-LP signed on the air on July 22, 2012. Due to the low power status authorized by the FCC, KQRZ operates with 5 watts of power and coverage is limited to Portland's West Side (Beaverton, Hillsboro only) before our s...ignal gets overtaken by other full power co-channel stations. Veteran geriatric DJ's "The Vegetable Man" and "Johnny Hurricane" have periodic shows weekdays will take requests via email from the KQRZ.ORG website. Don't forget..!
