Toronto Fire Services responds to 110 000 calls annually resulting in 272 000 unit responses to incidents such as fires, rescues, medical calls, vehicle accidents and fire alarm calls. In addition to this, 66 000 fire inspections are conducted to ensure compliance of the Ontario Fire Code.
